Ethiopia | November 2023
The PvSTATEM team from Armauer Hansen Research Institute (Ethiopia) met with representatives from various levels of the healthcare system, community leaders, and health extension workers. The team presented the project and discussed with the participants.
PvSTATEM welcomes a new partner
Warsaw (Poland) | October 2023
The consortium is happy to announce that Politechnika Warszawska from Poland will join PvSTATEM to conduct work that will facilitate population-level surveillance of malaria. This will be based on mathematical models, machine learning tools, and digital technologies mastered by the new partner.

The lab and analytics teams from six project partners met in the co-coordinator labs at Institut Pasteur Paris & the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine to standardize protocols and analysis of PvSTATEM samples.

Dr Michael White (PvSTATEM co-coordinator at IPP) presented at the Sustainable Digital Health Innovation Conference, hosted by Professor Jane Walsh (PvSTATEM partner at UG) and the University of Galway. At this event, Michael introduced the PvSTATEM project with his presentation “Development of a mobile-technology supported intervention for the surveillance and treatment of malaria”.
